Painting perspective and exploring human experiences
Perspective is shaped by our individual experiences. My work explores how personal histories, particularly those of women, influence the way we perceive and create art. In a recent series of paintings, I examined how different people might interpret the same scene, considering how gendered expectations shape artistic representation and cultural memory.
Through experimentation with wood, monoprints, ceramics, and paint, I investigate the ways women’s roles in art have been both celebrated and overlooked. By reimagining everyday moments through a feminist lens, my practice reflects on the visibility and agency of women in art history and contemporary society. I seek to highlight the complexities of perception, encouraging viewers to reconsider how narratives of gender and identity are constructed and challenged in visual culture.
